Bryson, Ann -0 currentBryson, Ann -0 current         Ann Catherine Bryson, 89, a lifelong Skagit County resident and current Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

    Ann was born on July 27, 1924 in Sedro-Woolley, the daughter of Steve & Mary (Minnerich) Gasparac.  She was raised east of Sedro-Woolley and attended grade school at Skiyou Grade School located on Hoehn Road and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1942.  

    Ann worked at the family shake mill, “Rustic Shake Mill” alongside her brother John sawing cedar shingles for several years.

    On December 24, 1949 she was united in marriage to Charles Bryson and they made their home in Sedro-Woolley until moving to Burlington in 1960.  While residing in Burlington, Ann raised her family and worked at the Cascade Cannery for several years.   Charles passed away in 1987 and she continued to make her home in Burlington until returning to Sedro-Woolley in 1990.

    Ann’s leisure time found her tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and occasionally playing slot machines at the local casinos with friends.

    Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug & Netti Bryson of Sedro-Woolley and her grand puppies, Lucy Lou, Hattie and Reba, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, 3 brothers, Joe, Steve and John Gasparac and a sister, Mary Plesha.   In remembrance of Ann, the family requests memorials be made to the North Puget Cancer Center at United General Hospital.  A Life Celebration will be held at a later date.

    Annie was an aunt that had a wonderful disposition and sense of humor. She loved gardening and traveling, especially to some of her favorite casino areas. She will be truly missed by her relatives and friends. To Doug and Nettie our deepest sympathy..
