Tuesday, September 1st, 2015

Arlene Frances Hudson, born July 20, 1936 in Clear Lake, Washington, passed away peacefully at Peace Health United General Medical Center on Friday, August 28, 2015 after a battle with Leukemia.  She was 79 years old.

Most of Arlene’s young life was spent in Bremerton.  She married in 1955, and then moved to California to be close to her husband’s family.  She raised her children in California, and then moved back to Sedro-Woolley in the early 1980’s.  Arlene became a Nursing Assistant and worked at Evergreen Nursing Home in Mount Vernon, and then started a business cleaning houses in the area.  Most recently, an art studio was just completed that Arlene was going to move into and start a new business, “Arlene’s Design”.  She refinished woodwork and painted artwork on furniture.

Arlene met Walt Hudson while cleaning his house and fell in love with him.  They married in December of 2012, and made their home in Mount Vernon. Arlene was a member of the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church for 20 years.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Walt; 3 sons, Frank, Tomas and Richard Ybarra; her sister, Lois Ann Clay and brother, Lyle (Dick) Henderson.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was in death by her parents, and 3 sons, Tony, Jerry and Marty.

The family would like to thank the staff at Peace Health United General Medical Center, especially Dr. Shetabi and the staff of the Oncology Clinic.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church. Interment will follow at the Clear Lake Cemetery with a reception to be held at the church after the committal.    Memorials may be made to your favorite charity in Arlene’s honor.
