Art Sullender, 54, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington.
He was born on April 9, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Harold and Anna Jackson Sullender, Sr.
Art has been a resident of Sedro-Woolley since 1981 and formerly resided in Clear Lake and Granite Falls.
He worked in construction in the home building industry for many years.
Art was united in marriage to Sue Westerman on April 18, 1981 in Burlington.
He was an ‘expert’ fisherman and hunter as well as an avid Harley-Davidson rider and was a member of ABATE.
Art is survived by his wife, Sue at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. His mother, Anna Sullender of Fontana, CA. Brothers and sisters, Harold Sullender, Jr. of Monroe, WA, Robin Sullender and his wife, Brenda of Logan, UT, Deborah Rodriguez of Fontana, CA and Ann Kinney and her husband, Robert of Paradise, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Sullender, Sr., his brother, Tom Sullender and his grandmother, Carolyn Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2:00PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Jim Cannon of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Sedro-Woolley officiating. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
Visitation is available on Tuesday from 9AM to 5PM and from 7PM to 8PM and on Wednesday from 9AM thru services at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley.
