Beverly Diane Fillweber, 73, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 28, 2007 from complications with emphysema.
She was born on November 25, 1933 in Willoughby, Ohio, the daughter of Walter & Claire Guy. She was raised and attended school in Willoughby, Ohio.
Beverly was united in marriage to John Fillweber in Palm Springs, CA in 1956 and they made their home in La Mesa, El Cajon and San Diego. Beverly worked as a teller for Bank of America in La Mesa for many years. She and John moved to Sedro-Woolley in 1992.
Beverly was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a former member of the Emblem Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John, at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. Her son, John Fillweber, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Ramona, CA and her daughter, Diana Freske of El Cajon, CA. 3 grandsons, Ryan & Nicholas Fillweber and Brenden Freske. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother.
Beverly’s family wish to thank Skagit Hospice for all their care and compassion during her final hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at 3:30PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Chaplain Robert Mulligan of George Baldridge Post #43 American Legion officiating with a reception to follow at the American Legion Hall in Sedro-Woolley. Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
