Bonnie M. “Splain” Radmaker, age 81, passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 at the United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, WA.

She was born October 17, 1925 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of Stephen and Della Dutra Butler.

Bonnie grew up in San Francisco and resided in the Bay area for many years until moving to Clear Lake, WA. She resided there for many years until moving to Centralia, WA and residing there until returning to Clear Lake six years ago.

During WWII, she worked as a riveter and later an elevator operator at the United Nations Building in San Francisco. She also sang at the San Francisco Opera House at age 16 and later at USO clubs during the war. She was married to Charles Splain on Feb 11, 1953 in San Francisco and they were married for 22 years. She enjoyed square dancing, cooking, embroidery, crocheting, sewing, painting, making dolls, and doing anything creative with her hands. While residing in   Centralia, she attended the Mountain View Baptist Church where she loved to read the Bible and sing at church services and she also received her high school diploma through Centralia Junior College receiving her diploma and class ring from Salinas High School where she attended as a teenager.

She is survived by her 5 children, Margaret Bergland and her companion Larry of Gardnerville, MN, Michael Splain and his fiancee Phyllis Braden of Centralia, WA, Nina Slater of Phoenix, AZ, Anna Splain-Rickert and her fiancee’ Robert Naper of Seattle, WA, and Bonnie Splain-Snyder of Georgia; her close friend and caregiver, Alma (Chubby) Lennox of Clear Lake; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister.

A Celebration of life tea party will be held Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 1:00PM at the Clear Lake Baptist Church with family and friends officiating.
