Chad John Geoghegan

Chad was called to be with his Lord and Jesus Christ on the evening of Thursday, November 9, 2006 as the result of a scuba diving accident on Commencement Bay in Tacoma, WA. He was the surprise blessing of J. Patrick and Francine Shank Geoghegan, born April 3, 1979 in Seattle, WA.
Chad was raised in Mount Vernon, WA attending Lincoln Elementary, La Venture Middle School, and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1997.
He was in the process of obtaining his journeyman level in cabinet making and installation through the guidance of his older brother. He had found the work that he felt was fulfilling.
Chad lived life to the fullest and shared his zest for living by enjoying the wonder of God’s creations’from the mountains for snowboarding and hiking to the beauty he discovered beneath the sea. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and the love he shared with a multitude of friends.
He is survived by his parents, Pat and Francine Geoghegan of Mount Vernon. His sister, Darcy Griffin and nieces Amanda and Alysia of Sedro-Woolley and his brother, Craig Geoghegan and his wife Jennifer and nieces, Sarah, Jessica G. and Jessica Q. of Edmonds. The love of his life, Amy L. Rohrbacher and her immediate family of Maryland. Uncles and aunts, Gary and Marlee Shank of Covington, WA, Darrel and Barbara Shank of Glendale, AZ, Dean and Shirley Shank of Pasco, WA, and Sharon Shank of Monroe, WA. He also leaves 9 cousins that will miss him dearly. Chad was preceded in death by all four of his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon, WA with Pastor Kevin Schubkegel officiating.
