Christina Marie Griffith, age 64, passed away with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer, Saturday, December 24, 2005 at her home in Mount Vernon, WA.
She was born October 7, 1941 in Renton, WA, the daughter of Happy C. and Laura May Murphy Northrup.
Christina was a resident of Mount Vernon for the past 3 years and formally resided in the Alger area for 27 years.
She was married to Glen Griffith on February 8, 1963 in Auburn, WA and they celebrated 42 years together. Christina owned and operated Silk Worm Gifts and was a member of the Burlington Lions Club and Calvary Baptist Church. She was a very creative person who enjoyed quilting, oil painting, gardening, knitting, and sewing. Most of all she was an open and loving person who enjoyed her family and friends.
Christina is survived by her husband, Glen Griffith of Mount Vernon and 2 sons, Patrick Griffith and his wife, Erica and Michael Griffith and his wife, Melanie all of Sedro-Woolley. 11 brothers and sisters, Hap Northrup, Jr. of Onalaska, TX, Darlene Griffith of Pasco, WA, Cheryl of Seattle, Tom Northrup of Reno, NV, Robert Northrup of Yakima, Marcy_of Pasco, Don Northrup of Toppenish, Karl Northrup of Selah, John Northrup of Nashville, TN, Dale Northrup of Yakima, and Glenn Northrup of NH. Also numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Bruce Shellhamer of Crossroads Covenant Church of Burlington officiating. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. A reception will be held at 3:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles at the corner of Metcalf and Warner. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th from 9AM to 5PM at Lemley Chapel.
