Corey DeWayne Evans, age 25, passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 in Seattle, Washington, the result of a industrial accident.
He was born June 21, 1981 in Mount Vernon, Washington, the son of Wesley and Dana Evans.
Corey grew up in Sedro-Woolley attending school, was baptized at Valley Baptist Church and attended State Street High School. He worked in the construction trades and at the time of his passing, he was installing siding.
Corey enjoyed four-wheeling, motorcycling, sports of all kinds, cooking, but most of he loved spending time with his sons and being Mr. Mom.
He is survived by his sons, Tyson Evans and Kyler and Payton Traini all of Sedro-Woolley. His father & mother Wes and Dana Evans, and brothers Chad and Wes Evans all of Sedro-Woolley. Grandparents, George Armstrong and Marian Gilbert of East Glacier, MT, Ronnie Evans of Oklahoma, and Pie and Gordon Grant of Day Creek. Uncles, Ron Evans of Sedro-Woolley, Mike Gilbert and his wife Joanie of Marblemount, and Keith Gilbert and his wife Delcein of Conway. Aunts, Linda Newell and her husband, Phil of Redding, CA, Tracy Gilbert of Clear Lake, Nicky Kempton and her husband Terry, Robin Ruiz and her husband Jose, Wendy Brookings and her husband George, and Cookie and Dani Armstrong all of Sedro-Woolley, and Shannon, Angel, and Robin of Seattle. Numerous cousins and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tex and Ruth Wilson and Dennis Gilbert and his great-grandparents, Tod and Florence Gilbert and Leland Williams.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Kevin Casterline of All Nations Christian Center of Mount Vernon officiating. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
