David A. Elsberg, Jr, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at his home near Sedro-Woolley.
He was born on January 20, 1957 in Everett, WA, the son of David and Hazel Wear Elsberg, Sr.
David grew up and was a longtime resident of Cle Elum until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1995. He was a self-employed logger.
He was married to Sandi Sanders on May 22, 1997 in Mount Vernon. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sandi at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. A son, Derek Adams of Sedro-Woolley and two daughters, Jill Gilbert and Shelly Rodriguez both of Centralia. His mother, Hazel Spry of Everett and four grandchildren, Robert Salgado, Alicia Torres, Scott Robertson, and Jordan Gilbert. Three sisters, Terry Sagaribay of Aubrey, TX, Laurie Barrio of Battleground, WA and Tracy Ward of Moses Lake, WA. His foster parents, Doyle and Bev Bryan of Sedro-Woolley and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Dale Price officiating. A pot-luck fellowship will immediately follow the memorial service at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, Sedro-Woolley. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 8th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Lemley Chapel.
A graveside inurnment services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the New City Cemetery in Roslyn, WA.
A funeral expense fund has been established at Skagit State Bank, 300 Ferry St., Sedro-Woolley.
A Benefit Dinner Spaghetti Feed, at $6.00 per person, and Silent Auction will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles. To make donations for the silent auction contact Wendy at 360-856-1894.
Services and cremation are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
