David Alan Bromels, age 68, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at his home in Concrete, Washington. He was born August 26, 1939 in Mount Vernon, Washington to Carl and Elmi Jackson Bromels.
David grew up in Mount Vernon, where he attended high school and graduated with the class of 1957. Residing in the Mount Vernon area for many years, he was a crop duster for 31 years and later barn stormed for 5 years beginning in 1995. For the past 3 years, he has resided in Concrete and previously resided in La Conner and Hamilton.
David enjoyed flying, traveling, antiques, antique gun collecting. He was very mechanically inclined and he will be remembered for his ability to fix anything.
David is survived by his fianceé, Nancy J. Rimmer of Concrete. His children, Ken Bromels and his son, Kory of Mount Vernon, Dan Bromels and his wife Leann and their daughter, Dana of Sedro-Woolley, and Karen Williams and her daughter, Niki of Renton. His brother, Melvin Bromels and his wife Pat of Mount Vernon. An aunt, Sophie Anderson of Freeland and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Family and Friends will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Sons of Norway Hall in Conway with Pastor Ron Deegan of the Mount Vernon First Baptist Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to North Puget Oncology at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley. Arrangements under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
