Della was a beautiful person, she will be truly missed. I got to know Della years ago in the Mt. Vernon school system. Later when we happened to meet, she always had a sweet smile and greeting. She impressed me at our 50th class reunion by bringing an album of school class pictures of every grade that she attended! RIP Della!

It was indeed a privilige to know Della. She was a very warm and friendly person. Della served as Vice-President, then later as President, of Resident Council at Mira Vista Care Center. She was a strong advocate for her fellow patients. Della was very active in our programs. She loved to play Po-Ke-No, Bingo and other games.A favorite activity was our special meals and holiday parties. Della had a strong faith and attended our church services and devotions regularly. As one person said, “I guess she wanted to go home for the holidays.” Della was well-loved by both our patients and our staff. She will be deeply missed. ~Coni Jones, Director of Recreational Therapy
