Donna Marie Medford Wright, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at home with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Sedro-Woolley, WA on August 16, 1953 the daughter of Gary and Barbara Schryer Medford.
She attended grade school in Hamilton and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1972.
Donna loved her job as a pastry chef working on a fish processing boat in Alaska, Russian, and Korean waters. Later, Donna went on a trip to Plymouth, Massachusetts to visit friends and decided to stay. Living and working in White Horse Beach for eight years, she managed the daily operations of a lobster pond until her illness forced her to return to Punkin Center three years ago to be with her parents until her passing. She also loved her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by her parents, Gary and Barbara Medford of Punkin Center. Two sons, Don Ensley and his wife, Kristie of Glenhaven and Jason Ensley and his wife, Shannon of Coeur d’ Alene, ID and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Mathew Ensley. A brother, Ron Medford and his wife, Annette of Birdsview and a sister, Tiffany Duvall and her husband, Eric of Punkin Center. Also five aunts and uncles, four nieces and two nephews for whom she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Sue Medford Scott, cousins, Wayne Queen and Mike Adams and grandparents, Bob and Veda Schryer and Wid and Selma Medford.
A Celebration of Life Inurnment Service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Ron Edwards of the Hamilton Baptist Church officiating. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Donna’s friends and family for their support during her illness. Your prayers, cards, and flowers will not be forgotten.
