Doris Dale Tilden Egbert, 85, of Bow, Washington went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2015.  She was born March 15, 1930 in San Francisco, California.

Doris graduated from Piedmont High School in Piedmont California in 1947.  Egbert, Doris with hubbyShe was also a graduate of the University of Washington, where she was a member of the Theta Upsilon Sorority, majoring in Sociology.
After graduation she was a stewardess for Pan Am. Other jobs she had included CFO for the farm; bookkeeper for DHIA; Avon Lady; owner of an antique store in La Conner called the Scotch Thistle; and at Younquist Farms as a pumpkin painter.

Her hobbies included being a beautiful seamstress and she also knitted caps for cancer patients; she volunteered at Edison Grade School helping kids practice reading and she was also a Campfire Leader.

Doris enjoyed watching her baby lambs in the spring and her ponies in the side pasture of her home.  She also enjoyed gardening and did a lot of canning for her children when they were younger and made wonderful homemade jams.  She was a very proud, caring, loving person and will be missed greatly by many.

Doris was a proud breast cancer survivor.

She is survived by her children Deborah (Duane) Kanske, Kathryn (Tom Murray) Schneider, Carolyn Kelly, Jeanette Burns and John (Amanda) Egbert; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; also by her pets Nelson and Larry.

She was preceded in death by husband, Keith Egbert; Mother, Doris Dale Tilder, and Aunt, Alice Chubbuck.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Allen
United Methodist Church, 16775 Allen West Road, Bow, Washington, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.  A private family graveside service was held on September 13, 2015 at the Bow Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Allen Church Choir; Skagit Humane Society; S.V. Herald Christmas Fund; Breast Cancer Awareness; or the charity of your choice. Please s
