Dorothy G. Campbell, age 90, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
She was born November 23, 1916 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Orie and Amy Williams.
Dorothy has been a resident of Rockport since 1947, coming here from North Dakota. She worked as a cook at the Concrete Hotel and the Rockport Grade School and as a bartender in Rockport. She was married to James Campbell on July 7, 1970 in Rockport and the celebrated 37 years together.
Dorothy was a member of the Community Bible Church of Concrete and enjoyed hunting, fishing, digging clams, smelting, camping, and being outdoors. She also enjoyed sewing and was known for always willing to take care of people.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Jim of the family home in Rockport. 3 sons; Verl Jarmin and his companion Marjorie Van Beek of Rockport, Ray Jarmin and his wife Janice of Rockport, and Dale Smith and his wife Ruth of Milton. 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ray Jarmin, a daughter, Delma Nelles 2 grandsons, Danny & Donny Smith and 8 brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Community Bible Church of Concrete with Pastor Rob Thomas officiating with inurnment to follow at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete.
