Edward L. Knowles, age 79, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2007 at Birchview Memory Care in Sedro-Woolley, WA. He was born January 20, 1927 in Chelan, Washington, the son of Alfred and Sadie Thrall Knowles.
Edward grew up in the Chelan and Wenatchee area’s working in the apple orchards and as a warehouseman in packing houses. He also worked for Washington State Parks in Chelan. Edward served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict for six years. For the past three years, he has resided in Sedro-Woolley.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Sadie Mae Knowles of Tacoma and a sister, Maxine Metcalf of Sedro-Woolley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Lyle Knowles.
At Edward’s request, there are to be no services with cremation arrangements under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
