Elizabeth Jane ‘Bettie’ Alley, age 83, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
She was born on July 22, 1923 in Seattle, WA, the daughter of Bernard and Eliza Watson Riley.
Bettie grew up in Seattle where she attended school, graduating from Roosevelt High School.
She worked as an accountant for 45 years, working for the Boeing Co. and the University of Washington.
Bettie was married to James H. Alley on June 14, 1975 in Seattle and they made their home there until retiring to Marblemount in 1987, living there for 16 years. They have lived in Sedro-Woolley for the past 3 years.
Bettie was a member of the Green Lake Methodist Church, a life member of Eastern Star, the Sweet Adelines, and the Garden Club.
She is survived by her husband, James at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. Two daughters, Leah J. Owen and Bonny E. Sheppard and her husband, Gregory; and her son, William D. Young and his fianc
