Elsie E. Ingersoll

Elsie E. Ingersoll

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Elsie E. Ingersoll passed away peacefully at her home in Birdsview, with her family at her side, at the age of 96 on Friday, July 25, 2008.
Elsie was born June 20, 1912 in Hamilton, WA to John and Minnie Cook. She attended school in Hamilton and Everett, graduating from Everett High School. Elsie married Jesse Ingersoll in Mount Vernon, WA in 1936 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1987.
Elsie was a life-long Jehovah’s Witness who devoted her life to serving Jehovah.
Elsie enjoyed reading stories to her 6 grandchildren, hearing about her grandchildren’s many activities which included soccer, gymnastics, football, preschool, and band. She loved when the grandchildren would climb up on her lap to see what ‘granny’ was doing, or just when to give nanny a hug. Elsie loved the view from her rocking chair of the mountains, trees, the many beautiful birds that would fly up to the flower beds; she also enjoyed watching the many elk come onto the family property. She would gaze out the window of her home and enjoy the beauty that nature had provided and thank Jehovah daily.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Dan Parker of Birdsview, a son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Beverly Ingersoll of Birdsview. Two grandchildren, Aaron and wife Hildi Parker of Birdsview and Rachel Graybill of Bellingham. Six great grandchildren, Nickolas and Ashley Parker of Birdsview and DJ, Erika, Danielle, and Tyler Graybill of Bellingham.
Cremation was under the director of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. A Memorial will be held at the family home at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Concrete Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses or Skagit Hospice.
