Ethel Maybelle Miller, age 105, passed away Sunday March 25, 2007 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
She was born May 8, 1901 in Custer, Washington, the daughter of Oscar and Amanda Johnson Glenman.
Ethel has been a resident of Sedro-Woolley since 1935 and had worked at the Sedro-Woolley Laundry and Sedro-Woolley Greenhouse. She was married to Frank Parker in May of 1919 and he preceded her in death in 1930. She married Harvey Miller in 1945 in Burlington and he preceded her in death in 1996. Ethel was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and the Garden Club and she enjoyed traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Wilma Parker of Des Moines. 5 grandchildren, Carole Whilstine and her husband David of Franklin, IN, Richard Taylor and his wife Ginger of Coupeville, Donald Parker Jr. and his wife Prudy, Gary Parker, and Cathy Parker all of Des Moines. Numerous great, great great, and great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Frank and Harvey, a daughter, Pearl Taylor in 2002, and her sons, Stanley Parker in 1991 and Donald Parker in 2006.
Graveside Services will be Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2:00PM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Richard Coursen of the First Baptist Church of Sedro-Woolley officiating. Visitation will be available up to 1:00PM on Friday at Lemley Chapel. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
