Born September 14, 1930 in Grove Springs Missouri, Eugene often reflected on his childhood on the large farm where they lived until his family moved to Idaho in 1944. A young man of ambition and desiring to “Make his own way,” he joined the United States Navy at the age of 19. He served during the Korean War yet his heart remained cialisfrance24.com at home with his true love Thelma Cearley, whom he married on June 12, 1954.
A professionally skilled carpenter by trade, Eugene believed in the value of hard work. He moved his young family to Washington in 1967. His life was always centered around his love of family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling in his RV, picnics in the mountains and at the beach and celebrating holidays. He was proud to have received his private pilot’s license and flew many times across the local mountains that he so admired. His roots deep embedded in country and bluegrass music, he learned at a young age to play the fiddle and continued to play and collect violins throughout his life. I knew Gene to be a wonderful man. Kind, friendly – a man of integrity and honesty; hard working; loving family man. As mentioned in his obituary, he leaves a legacy to be treasured.
