Evelyn Tingley

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015

On June 3, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, Evelyn (Jensen) Tingley went home to heaven.

Evelyn was born on January 17, 1938 in Oakley, Idaho to Christian Emerun (C.E.) Jensen and Dora (Willis) Jensen.  She was the youngest of 5 daughters including her sisters: Dora May, Rose Mary, Betty Jean, and Anna Marie.

On April 26, 1957 in Concrete, WA, Evelyn married Jack Tingley.  They were married for 58 years.

Evelyn spent more than 30 years working for the Sedro-Woolley School District and truly cherished her time as a Librarian Assistant.  Reading and writing were cherished hobbies of hers.

Family was everything to Evelyn, and she is survived by her husband, Jack; their three daughters and their families, Tami Tingley and her sons, Gary & Leanne Isaacson (Ryan, Lily, and Carly), Curtis & Jan Isaacson (Austin), Shelly & Dennis Russell and their children, Rashel & Corey O’Neil (Nakiah and Kicen), Michael & Danielle Russell (Nash and Hayes), Crystal & Shawn O’Neil and their children, Kelsey Gibbs & Riley Burke, Megan Isbrandtsen (Shawn), and Casey & Alisha O’Neil (Tanner and Anna).

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rose Mary.

Jack and their girls would like to give a very special thank you to Dr. Mathey, his wonderful nurses and staff at Peace Health Oncology in Sedro-Woolley and to Hospice of the Northwest for their gentle care.  An extremely heart felt thank you to Marion.

In lieu of flowers, Evelyn’s family requests that donations be made in her honor to the charity of your choice.

Her fial resting place will be Hamilton Cemetery, in Punkin Center.

    To the Tingleys,
Evelyn was such a lovely person. I worked with her at the CMS library. She was smart, efficient, had a great sense of humor and was so good with our students. When told to do an evaluation of her work, I asked, “Can I just put, walks on water?” My world is a better place because Evelyn was in it. My thoughts are with you all.
