Floyd Eugene Christofferson, age 84, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro Woolley, Washington. He was born February 26, 1924 in Sedro Woolley to John and Agnes Abrahamson Christofferson.
Floyd grew up in Sedro Woolley and graduated from Sedro Woolley High School in 1942. After graduation, he served with the US Navy during WWII as a Fireman 1/C until his discharge in 1945. He was married to Joyce E. Wiseman on November 18, 1947 in Sedro-Woolley and she preceded him in death in 1978.
Floyd worked for the County Road Department for 30 years retiring as a supervisor. He was an avid rock hound, bottle collector, wood turner, and he was a member of the American Legion.
Floyd is survived by his two sons; Larry Christofferson of Seattle, WA and Edward Christofferson and his wife Arlene of Redding, CA and two nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, a sister, Selma Munro and a brother, Bill Christofferson.
Graveside Services will be Friday, April 4, 2008 at 10:00AM at the Sedro Woolley Union Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro Woolley.
