FRANCES M. TURPIN, 78, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.
She was born on April 2, 1927 in Burlington, WA the daughter of William & Hazel Medford Sage.
The family moved to Clear Lake where she was raised and attended grade school, later moving to Sedro-Woolley where Frances attended and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1947.
She was united in marriage to Robert Turpin in Lyman in 1950 and together they made their home in Sedro-Woolley for 50 years until his death in 2000.
Frances worked for many years as a nurses aide, first at Memorial Hospital, then Northern State Hospital and United General Hospital and for a few years at the Skagit Valley Convalescent Center.
She enjoyed playing bingo and going on day trips.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie in Sedro-Woolley.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
