Georgina ‘Tina’ KingGeorge, 73, a resident of the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Everett.

Tina was born on October 16, 1944 in Malott, Washington, one of thirteen children of George and Alice (Edwards) Williams.

Tina was raised and attained her education in Auburn, WA.  After finishing school she married and raised her family.  Tina worked for many years as a teacher for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Headstart Program.  She also worked as a commercial/tribal fisherwoman.  She made her home in Auburn until 2003 when she moved to the Upper Skagit Indian Reservation in Sedro-Woolley.

Tina was a member of the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe and a longtime member of the 1910 Indian Shaker Church.  She enjoyed being the quintessential grandmother, being with her family and also enjoyed her casino time.

Tina is survived by her children and their spouses, Warren & Elizabeth KingGeorge of Auburn, Kristine & Leondo Osoteo of Auburn, Leanne & Nick Denunzio of Sedro-Woolley and Laverne & Lionell Mathias of Sedro-Woolley; 4 step-children, Lawrence Tom, Isadore Tom III, Jamie Tom and Nancy Tom, all of Sedro-Woolley; her sister, Geraldine Williams of Sedro-Woolley; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Alice, 8 brothers and 3 sisters.

A Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, October 12th at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at the Upper Skagit Tribe Gymnasium. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 AM at the Gymnasium. Arrangements are under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
