Geraldine Louise Pressley

Monday, March 26th, 2018

Geraldine Louise Pressley, (known as GG, or Jerry to her friends) passed away peacefully in her home in Concrete, Washington on March 26, 2018. She was surrounded by family and close friends.  She was born December 29, 1954 (age 63).  She grew up with her sister Linda, Clearlake WA, loved to ride horses and swim and play at the lake. Later in life she was reunited with another sister, Judy Prather.

She met the love of her life, Daniel Pressley at the age of 13. A few years later the two were married and started a family of three girls.  Her girls were her pride and joy. As a young mom she mostly stayed home to raise her girls. She enjoyed camping, riding horses, gardening, cooking, bible study, and visiting with her friends.  She loved to cook big family meals. There was always enough to feed twice as many people. Everyone was always welcome for dinner or just to visit.  She took great pride in her flower garden and was eager to show anyone who stopped by.

She is survived by her children, Cheri (Robert) Ekloff, Monica (Jason) McDaniel, Danielle (Ronnie) Queen; grandchildren, Amanda Anderson, Brent Anderson Jr., Michelle Yarber, Royce Queen, Dawson McDaniel; great-grandaughter, McKinlee Taxdahl.

She was preceded in death by her Mom, Ellen Thompson, her sister, Linda and her precious dog, Teddy.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Hamilton Cemetery, Pastor Bruce Martin presiding.  Share your memories of GG and sign the online guest register.

Cheri, Amanda and Punkie, I’m sorry to hear of the loss of GG. Prayers to you and the rest of the family.

  • Ellie Mathis

Praying that God will comfort Gg’s Family and friends during their heartfelt loss. She’s one of the best people I’ve ever known, and I feel fortunate I was able to spend time with her over the years. Gg’s in a better place, but sorely missed here on earth.

  • Pam

GG and Dan were one of the first friends my parents met when we moved to WA. I have many memories of camping and BBQ-big and much more. I was the babysitter of the three girls for years. GG was like a second mom to me for years. She was wise with council and always willing to give me an ear. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. She loved the Lord and was certain if her eternity with Christ. Over the past two plus years of her illness she remained strong in her faith and continued to think of others despite her illness. She never complained of pain. I will miss her greatly and believe we will be together again one day. Cheri, Dani, Monica-your Mom as blessed to have three girls care for her so deeply. It represents who she was. I pray comfort to all of you, your family and Dan.
