GOD BLESS YOU UNCLE FIZZ, YOU WILL REMAIN IN ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS. ONE THING I REMEMBER WAS WHEN YOU PULLED UP IN YOUR MOM AND DADS YARD IN URAVAN, AFTER YOU GOT OUT OF THE NAVY. YOU TOOK ME OUT TO YOUR CAR AND YOU HAD SO MANY TRAFFIC TICKETS FROM CALIFORNIA. YOU SAIR NEVER GOING BACK TO CALIF. ALSO YOUR TRIP OUT OF THE WINDOW OF 57 CHEVROLET AND INTO SAN MIGUEL RIVER. MANY GOOD TIMES PLAYING BALL AND BEATING EVERYONE IN GRAND JCT TOURNAMENTS. SO MANY STORIES TO BE TOLD. RIP

  • Larry Tovrea

Fizz and I played baseball and softball together in Uravan , Colorado back in the 1960’s. Fizz played 1st base and pitched. Quite a ball player and a fun guy. We were buddies. I won’t forget him. RIP Fizz.

  • Stan Hillier

Like many here I also worked with Fizz. And similar stories, but the best in common to me is the fact that he did have a big heart.
    Rest in Peace Fizz…

  • Mike Garcia

Fizz, like so many I’ve had the honor and privilege to have worked with in this trade was a gem! You will be missed…

  • Sue Tucker

I have such fond memories of Fizz. I remember the first time I met him and he introduced himself….”Fizz…you know, like how pop fizzes.” He was always such a great support to the other gals and I in the headquarters. Always good for a laugh or and adventure. Rest easy….

  • Ted Royal

Worked with and for Fizz for many years. He was the most energetic person on the dock. He loved to joke around, have fun and laugh. He was a hard worker and loved his job at PSE.
Last time I saw him was at his home, on 24th and Donovan, where we had a bad cable and he was out of power. He came walking up the street, in that unique stride he had, with his middle finger up, all the while asking if I could hear what he was saying! One of a kind! RIP Fizz…

  • Bill Steele

I worked with Fizz off and on (storms mostly) from ’89 til ’92. The first storm we worked together was a Nor’easter in early ’89, when Tony Roat assigned me to Fizz’ crew. We worked about 3 days straight and put up a lot of wire without a bit of trouble between us. Fizz told me later that he’d told Tony he didn’t want any part of that “loudmouth SOB” (me), but after that first storm, we became friends. I won’t be able to attend his celebration, but I will keep him in my thoughts…RIP OLD MAN! Bill Steele

Oh the memories and stories of this man! There were some who thought he was just a cranky guy but if you took the time to get past that “cranky crust” you would find a man with a huge heart and a great sense of humor! I’m looking forward to his celebration of life to hear stories I have forgotten and stories I never knew. My heart goes out to all who loved him….
