Harold W. Coultas, 65, a lifelong Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away peacefully at his home on December 13, 2016 after an extended illness.

Harold was born on May 23, 1951 in Sedro-Woolley, the son of Charles & Margaret (Cowill) Coultas.  He was raised and attended school in Sedro-Woolley, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1969.

For many years Harold was employed at the National Food Cannery in Burlington and then as a mechanic at a fishing cannery in Port Bailey, Alaska.

Upon returning from Alaska he enjoyed the quiet life, working around his home, gardening and teaching important skills to his nephew Austin Frizzell.  But his greatest joy was sharing life with Sandi & Ciera Brown.

Harold is survived by his lifelong companion, Sandi Brown and her granddaughter, Ciera Brown; his mother, Margaret Coultas; 3 sisters, Nancy Patterson (Mel), Lori Frizzell and Sherri Hopkins (Dave), and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Coultas and infant brother, Charles George Coultas.

Memorials in honor of Harold are suggested to the Skagit Valley Kidney Center, 208 Hospital Parkway, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 or Hospice of the Northwest, 227 Freeway Drive, Suite A, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.

Graveside inurnment services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Richard Coursen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
