Sage, Hazel old2 obitHazel Marie Sage (Blackburn) went to be with her lord and savior the morning of Monday, March 7, 2016 at Life Care Center in Sedro Woolley.  She went on to join her loved ones that had gone on before, her parents, Clifton and Jennie Blackburn, her sisters, Nola Davis and Emma Beam, her Brothers,  Bill Blackburn and Robert Blackburn, her daughters, Kaye Brown and Nancy Rayment, her granddaughter, Janelle Brown, her great grandson, Dwayne Kerrigan, and former husbands Jack Johnson and Dell Sage.

She was born on January 12th, 1936 in North Carolina, the daughter of Jennie L. Blackburn and Clifton Blackburn.  She moved to Clear Lake, Washington with her parents and siblings as child in 1948.

Hazel loved to cook and was known for her cornbread and french fries cooked in her cast iron skillet.  She would offer a meal to anyone who stopped by.  She was employed in a variety of occupations in the hospitality industry including as a cook, waitress, housekeeper, and helping http://www.cialisgeneriquefr24.com/cialis-forum-doctissimo/ friends harvest their apple and cherry orchards in Eastern Washington until she was able to retire, and spent part of her retirement years taking care of her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed singing at Sedro Woolley Community Church, gardening, crafting, listening to blue grass and gospel music, spending time with family and taking care of her cats.

Hazel is survived by her sister, Ruth Rust; brother, Ray Blackburn; sons,  John Johnson (Candy),  Jim Johnson, Jeff Johnson,  Joe Johnson (Cathy);  daughters, Cathy Wiggins, Sandy Brown, Janae  (Mike), Susan Ogle (Bruce), Donna Garonzik,  Jennifer Brittain; granddaughters, Tiffany Roberts, Jeanine Stein, Lisa Payne, Marilyn Paul, Shelby, Tyana Kesler, Heather and Kayetlyn Brittain, Sara and Macy Johnson; grandsons,  Arne Brown, Nate Rohman, Bradley Mudge, Eli Rayment, Danny Brown, Chad Brown, Tobin Pomeroy, Nader, Dylan, Sergio and Jerry Johnson; great granddaughters, Ciera Brown, Maddie Roberts, Elena Kesler, Kayla Summers, Abby Johnson and Cheyanne Braymiller; great grandsons, Travis Rayment, Jacob Baker, London Roberts, Sid Summers, Rian Braymiller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 1:00pm at Union Cemetery in Sedro Woolley, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Sedro Woolley Community Church on 901 Talcott Street in Sedro Woolley. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, Friday and Monday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Lemley Chapel.

    Thank you for including my siblings and I. We never met our biological grandmother. Between us she also has 8 great granddaughters; Melissa, Leighann, Sydney, Alexis, Hailey, Claira, Eva, and Eleanor. One great grandson Liam. We wish you all nothing but the best.
