Herman Lee Vancourt, 91, a former Sedro-Woolley resident passed away at his home in Stockton, California on Wednesday, March 28, 2007.
He was born in West Virginia on December 29, 1915, the son of David & Elizabeth Cole Vancourt.
Herman had lived in the Sedro-Woolley area for several years and worked as a heavy equipment tire service technician. He enjoyed going fishing, camping and clamming. For the past 10 years he has made his home in Stockton.
He is survived by his son, Harley R. Vancourt of Stockton, CA. His grandchildren, Johnny Vancourt and Lisa Russell of Lodi, CA and Holly Daniels in Ohio, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 1996 and a son, Johnny Vancourt.
Interment was held at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery on April 4, 2007. Local arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
