Ina Mae Johnson, 87, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley.
She was born on September 2, 1921 in Medicine Lake, Montana, the daughter of Ben & Hilma Loff Nelson.
Ina had made her home in Yakima for several years where she worked as a waitress and as a commercial building cleaner until coming to Sedro-Woolley in the early 1970’s where she continued working for a commercial cleaning company, cleaning business around Sedro-Woolley.
Ina was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Congregation; she enjoyed reading and attending activities at the Sedro-Woolley Senior Center. She also enjoyed dressing for occasions and always wore a colorful hat.
Ina is survived by her sisters, Fern Leathco in Brazil, Helen Williams and Eva Mortensen both in Montana and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lawrence Nelson and sister, Dora Butler.
A Life Celebration will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sedro-Woolley, 410 Ball Street on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 4:00 PM
with Mr. Dan McCormick presiding.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
