John Robert ‘Rob’ Huscusson, 50, a resident of Stanwood and former Rockport area resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at Providence Hospital in Everett.
Rob was born in Everett on August 17, 1956, the son of John & Willa Mae Seago Huscusson. He was raised in Rockport and attended grade school and high school in Concrete until moving to Wenatchee where he graduated from high school.
He then attended Wenatchee Community College and then Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon where he earned ad degree in Respiratory Therapy.
In 1982, Rob began working as a respiratory therapist at Providence Hospital, Pacific Campus in Everett as a therapist in the intensive care ward where he worked until 1995 when he went to work for LinCare in Everett until June of 2007.
In 1988, Rob began a relationship with Fran VanNatta and on June 6, 1992 they were united in marriage in Oahu, Hawaii and they made their home in Marysville
until moving to Stanwood in 1999.
Rob enjoyed playing golf and traveling and he and Fran enjoyed competing in 10K walking races.
Rob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Fran at the family home in Stanwood. A son and daughter-in-law, Dan & Kory Hanke of Marysville and 2 grandchildren, Kailey & Wyatt Hanke. A brother, Calvin Huscusson of Lyman, WA. 3 sisters, Betty Yeager-Walden Britt of Sedro-Woolley, Ozell Podraza Jim of Tampa, FL and Marie Stone of Monroe. A sister-in-law, Judy LeFever and her husband Allan of Arlington; his beloved cats, Moe & Max and numerous extended family, health care co-workers and friends. Rob was preceded in death by his parents, John in 1992 and Willa Mae on June 24, 2007; a brother, Dallas Huscusson; a sister, Esther Anderson and a nephew, Johnny Cuthbert.
A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Hawthorne Inn & Suites, 16710 Smokey Point Blvd in Arlington. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
