James W. “Woody” White

Tuesday, January 27th, 2015

James W. “Woody” White, 47, a former longtime Sedro-Woolley area resident, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Wenatchee, Washington.

Woody was born on January 28, 1967 in Sanford, Florida, the son of James & Karen (Hoffman) White.  In 1968 the family moved to Sedro-Woolley where Woody was raised and attended school.

After high school Woody worked in the construction industry in Washington and Oregon for many years, he then worked at the Texaco Refinery in Anacortes doing plant maintenance for several years.   In 2010 he moved to Wenatchee for warmer climate and physical rehabilitation after a surgery.

Woody was an avid fisherman, he also enjoyed putting together intricate puzzles, woodworking and repairing furniture, working in his yard and watching the Seahawks.

He is survived by his father, James White of Sedro-Woolley; sister, Kim White (Flones) and brother, Jeff Sather both of Wenatchee; 2 nieces, Danielle Duncan (Flones) and Jaclyn Flones; a great-niece, Emersyn Duncan and great-nephew, Mason Stallings and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and in 2010 by his mother, Karen White.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Skagit County Humane Society.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Tim Johnson of Cascade Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.

    Jim, Jeff and Kim,

I am so sorry for your loss. What memories we all have growing up together. Even though we have not stayed in touch as adults I still feel as though we are family and I just can’t imagine the pain you are all going through. Know that I think of you all often and I will see you on Friday.
