Jeanette Marie Andrews, 69, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanette was born in Duluth, Minnesota on November 11, 1938, the daughter of Gustav and Mildred Douglas Truman. She was raised in Minnesota until 1948 when the family moved to and settled in Burlington, Washington where she attended school.
Jeanette has always been a dedicated helper, starting with assisting her mother raising her siblings.
On April 4, 1956 she was united in marriage to Larry Andrews in Burlington and they made their home there until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1979.
Jeanette’s greatest love in life was her family. She was happiest at family functions with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing in the yard awaiting Larry’s barbequed salmon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Larry at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. Her children, Cindy Corona of Sedro-Woolley, Tina Newman and her husband, Michael of Mount Vernon and Larry Andrews, Jr. of Sedro-Woolley. Five grandchildren, Jamie Anderson, Kellen Anderson and his wife, Tristyn and Kristen, Andy & Christopher Andrews. Five great-grandchildren, Riley, Kaden, Hannah, Mason & Madison. Two sisters, Ina Danielson and Susan Stucks; a daughter-in-law, Lori Andrews; a sister-in-law, Sharon Truman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav & Mildred; a brother, Charles Truman and a sister, Cheri Truman.
Memorials are suggested to Jeanette’s favorite charities, Children’s Hospital, 4800 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105 or the North Puget Cancer Center, 2000 Hospital Drive, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Reverend Robert Weltz officiating. Interment will follow at the Burlington Cemetery.
