JEANNIE HOWELL, 62, a resident of Concrete passed away on Friday October 7, 2005 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born on February 9, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of Vernon H. and Mary Wilson McDonald.
As a young girl she came to Seattle, graduating from Lincoln High School. She was united in marriage to Ronald Howell on December 23, 1975 in Kenmore, WA.
Jeannie loved her family, fishing; was involved with Little League and watching birds; she loved owls and humming birds and raced foreign stock cars at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, winning a trophy.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Concrete, 4 sons; Brian Howell and his wife, Dorothy of Marysville, WA, Wayne Ohmie of Federal Way, WA., Rick Ohmie and his wife, Margaret of Portland, Oregon and Darren Howell of Knots Island, North Carolina. 1 daughter, Margaret Caputo and her husband, Sam of Knots Island, North Carolina. 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 2 brothers, Robert McDonald and his wife, Becky in Texas and David Markham of Jacksonville, FL. 2 sisters, Faye Calhoun and her husband, James and Donna Krietz and her husband, Fred all of Jacksonville, FL. 1 daughter-in-law Shirley Ohmie of Federal Way, WA and a sister-in-law, Lucille Comstock of Concrete. 3 brothers-in-law, Orland Howell and his wife, Maxine, Mickey Howell and Albert Howell and his wife, Clrayda. Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice PO Box 1376, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Rob Thomas of the Community Bible Church of Concrete officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
