Jeannie O’Leary

Wednesday, August 27th, 2014

Jeannie Leah O’Leary, 54, longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2014, due to a serious infection.

Jeannie was born on January 12, 1960 in Del Norte, Colorado and moved to Washington in 1967, spending most of her life in Sedro-Woolley.

Jeannie loved to garden and filled her home with many plants and flowers and often shared the results of her very green thumb with others. Jeannie was short in stature, but had a big heart and was always there to help a friend and never missed sending a holiday or birthday card. She was a lifelong animal lover and was never without at least one furry companion to spoil.

Jeannie is survived by her pampered cat, Ashley; her companion, Willie Sherman; her mom, Deanna Swihart of Sedro-Woolley and siblings, Vallaree O’Leary of Concrete, Kathy Laramey of Leadville, CO, Jerry Fall of Sedro-Woolley, Stacey Clements of Monroe and Dan Clements, Jr. (Julie) of Sedro-Woolley.  She is also survived by her nephew, Mac O’Leary of Austin, TX and niece Baylee O’Leary of Concrete as well as her many 4-footed nieces, nephews and siblings:  Barrett, Colt, Duke, Daisy, Julie and Buddy of Sedro-Woolley, Noella and her kitty brothers of Concrete and Cally, Foozle, Marco and Dante of Monroe.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Human Society of Skagit County.

My prayers go out to the family. Jeannie was a good friend and co-worker; I will always remember her laugh and smile.
