Jolene Wilkerson, 85, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.

Jolene was born on March 18, 1928 in Burlington, WA, the daughter of Isaac & Dora (Miller) Orcutt.  She was raised and attended school in Clear Lake.

On December 1, 1948 she was united in marriage to Ben Wilkerson in Sedro-Woolley and they lived in Sedro-Woolley and then for a while in California until returning to Sedro-Woolley.

Jolene raised rabbits on the family farm, at one point she was raising over 3,000 rabbits and she also worked for a while for McMoran Potato Farms.     She also had a nack for crafts; she handmade teddy bears from scratch, also making the clothing for them and also made porcelain dolls along with their dresses.  When time allowed she enjoyed working in her garden.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Jackson and her husband, Don and Elaine Hunter all of Sedro-Woolley; 5 grandchildren, Jeanette Thiessen (Dean), Jessica and Jeremiah Hunter (Gretchen) and Peter Jackson (Sambath) and Charles Jackson; 5 great-grandchildren, Lindie and Dylan Thiessen, Malachi Hunter, Maddie Belle Jackson and Zoey Durgen and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ben in 1982; son, Jim in 1997; 2 brothers, Tom & Dan Ortcutt and a sister, Nada Orcutt.  The family would like to thank her care givers, Angie and Charlotte for their loving care.

Private interment was held at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
