Jonathan Biddix, (aka, Bruce Slater), 44, a longtime King County resident, passed away at his mother’s home in Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, February 12, 2015 following a long battle with cancer.   John grew up in the Seattle & Sedro-Woolley areas, calling both home.

John owned and operated a computer programming business as well as a home maintenance business in King County for many years.

He was a very giving person with a kind soul.   He is now at peace.

John is survived by his mother, Linda Nasin of Sedro-Woolley; his brothers, Jim, Shean and Tom; nieces and nephews, Torrie, Madison, Avery, Brady, Dawson, Logan, Colby, Kent & Merrick and a host of friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

A Life Celebration potluck gathering will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Linda’s home, 824 Orth Way in Sedro-Woolley.  The family suggests that memorials be made to the Skagit County Boys & Girls Club.

My name in Michael Cline. I posted a comment back in Feb 2015, just after Jonathan passed away at his mother’s house. He had lived with me the 3 years prior to his passing, and many times over the last 25+ years. Perhaps 15 years in all. I tried best I could to save his life as we struggled to beat his cancer. I prayed many times God grant him more days. My prayers were answered. I am thankful for the time I had with him. Jonathan was/is a dear friend. and two years later I still feel an incredible sense of loss. I had known him for close over 25 years. I was his longest lasting friend and he was my most trusted and closest of friends. I never felt alone with him in my life. Now I feel so incredibly alone. His mother, Linda I also came to love very much. I miss her too. Jonathan helped me through many tough and troubled times. I could always depend on him being there when times got tough. We also had many good times together. Some losses are so great one can never get over them. Such is the case with Jonathan. May God give him shelter a place in heaven for all he did and was to me for nearly 3 decades. Thank You Jonathan, Linda, and his father Mike, his brother Jim, Rob, and entire family for making me feel so much a part of yours. May God’s grace be upon each of you and your families in every way possible. God – thank you for the Gift you gave to me in Jonathan.

Jonathan was my friend. He had dreams always. He had hopes. And he had lots and lots of love in his heart. He struggled against very difficult odds. And he fought bravely to have a life worth living. Like all of us he had his demons. But he always overcame them with grace and love. I will remember Jonathan for his courage and fortitude and fight and his wonderful big heart. I’m glad he doesn’t have to fight his body against all those difficulties and that he’s living in the grace of God is he always wanted to. I know you’re there Jonathan and I’m still your friend and I still love you.Hal
