JULIA MAE ASHE WEBB, 81, a longtime resident of Lyman went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday December 10, 1005.
She was born on July 4, 1924 in Sylva, North Carolina, the daughter of William Elcie & Ida Estella Williams Ashe. She was raised and attended school in North Carolina, coming to Skagit County in 1946.
She was united in marriage to Edwin Webb on September 6, 1972 in Sedro-Woolley and together they have made their home in Lyman for the past 33 years.
Julia was a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, cooking and canning and camping.
Julia is survived by her husband Ed at the family home in Lyman. 2 daughters, Patricia Dale Anderson of Sedro-Woolley and Janice Marie Melton and her husband Gary of Lyman. 2 step-children, Daryl Webb of Lyman and Vickie Jones of Mount Vernon. 1 sister, Bobbie Jean Ashe of Hamilton and 1 brother, Ben Lee Ashe of Sedro-Woolley. 5 grandchildren, Tony Anderson Lisa, Darleen Aldridge Brian, Jeff Anderson Chris, and David Melton all of Sedro-Woolley and Dawn Ronk Bryan of Lyman. 8 great-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Grant, Brieanna and Alyssa Anderson, Brad Johnson and Daniell Aldridge of Sedro-Woolley and Hayden and Kaulin Ronk of Lyman. 1 brother-in-law, Amos Ensley of Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Clarence, Clyde and Raymond Ashe; 2 sisters, Mable Griffin and Ethel Ensley and 2 great-grandsons, Jeremiah Johnson and Joshua Goodrow.
The family requests that memorials be made to Skagit Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1376, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 15, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hamilton Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at the Lyman Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
