Keith Allen Detillion, age 53, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Berkeley, California from lung cancer. He was born August 18, 1954 to Carl and Barbara Detillion in Chillicothe, Ohio.
When Keith was just an infant, his family moved to Mount Vernon, Washington. Keith attended Mount Vernon schools and excelled at baseball and football. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1972.
Keith married Giselle Cooper and together that had two children, Dustin and Danielle. Keith later married Marissa Claremont and they had twin girls, Jaylene and Jennifer.
Keith is survived by his long time partner, Shelley Corbitt of Berkeley, CA. He is also survived by his four children; Dustin and Kim Detillion Van De Grift with grandchildren Marissa and Emilee, Danielle and BJ Mortensen, and Jennifer and Jaylene Detillion. He is also survived by his parents, Carl and Bette Detillion of Sedro-Woolley, WA and Barbara and Robert Moultrie of Auke Bay, AK. Siblings; Karen and Glen Nickel of Concrete, WA, Steven and Elizabeth Detillion of Mount Vernon, WA, Mark and Jolene Detillion of Seattle, WA, and Julie and Ivory Harris of Seattle, WA. Keith leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his second wife, Marisa Clairmont Detillion.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Larry Gilbert of Burlington officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Bay View Cemetery. Jesus made this promise in the Gospel of John chapter 14 verse 27. ‘Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’
