Kenneth M. Walsh, age 94, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was born April 6, 1914 in Custer, Washington to Jack and Ada Pickard Walsh.
Ken was a resident of Blaine, WA for 65 years before moving to Sedro-Woolley in 2006. He formally worked as a foreman-machinist for Alaska Packers Association in Blaine for 35 years and he served as a Blaine City Councilman for 10 years.
Ken was married to June Daws in Ferndale in 1941. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching and listening to the Mariners and spending time in Yuma, AZ in the winters with June as snowbirds.
He is survived by his wife June Walsh of Sedro-Woolley. 3 daughters; Karen Reid and her husband Randy of Blaine, Judy Brown of Ferndale, and Betty Kaye Deere and her husband Robert of Sedro-Woolley. Sister; Nellie Beckman of Bellingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister June Barnes and a brother Bob Walsh.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 1:00 PM at 4288 West Rd in Blaine, WA with Mr. Dick Hardman officiating. Arrangements and cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Please sign the online guestbook for Ken at www.lemleychapel.com
