LACEY KAY KLINGER, a lifelong Sedro-Woolley resident passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006, the result of an automobile accident near Marysville. She was 20 years of age.
Lacey was born in Sedro-Woolley, Washington on January 24, 1986, the daughter of Dean and Erin Spray Klinger. She was raised and attended school in Sedro-Woolley, graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 2004.
Lacey was a member of the high school Honor Society, Renaissance Club and Skagit Heat, a teens against tobacco group. She served as the A.S.B. Treasurer, was a football cheerleader and she played volleyball for a year and basketball for 3 years for the Cubs. Her summers were spent working as a counselor for Best Self and as a waitress at Bob’s Burgers and Brews.
She enjoyed music, being with her friends and shopping.
Lacey was currently enrolled in the nursing program at Everett Community College, pursuing a career in health care.
She is survived by her parents, Dean & Erin Klinger and her brother, Josh and his girl friend, Rosa Schnitzer of Sedro-Woolley. Her grandparents, Denny & Florence Klinger of Sedro-Woolley, Luvena Groves of Burlington, Shane & Roz Spray of Bayview and Anita & Darryl Weidkamp of Concrete. Her great-grandmother, Virginia Spray of Mount Vernon. Her fiance, Travis Clifton of Sedro-Woolley. Her aunts and uncles, Dale Klinger, Kristy Spray, Tammy Cannif, Richard & Amber Ellis, Audrey Weidkamp and Sara Nagy and numerous cousins. Her special uncles, Tim Moser and Eric Strinden, special brother, Patrick Kilcup and her forever friends, Brianna Brue, Mady Wohl and Lauren Sandelin.
A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley High School gymnasium with Pastor Wendy Tingley of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church officiating. Private interment will be at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. A potluck fellowship will follow services at the Sedro-Woolley Community Center. Visitation will be available at Lemley Chapel on Thursday & Friday from 9AM to 5 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Sedro-Woolley Volunteer Fire Department Lacey Klinger Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 523, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.
