Loretta V. Tritten, 66, a longtime resident of the Clear Lake community, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.
She was born on March 30, 1940 in Colon, Republic of Panama, the daughter of Glenn & Florence Card.
She was raised on the east coast until the family settled in Skagit County in 1947 and she attended school in Sedro-Woolley.
On April 19, 1957, she was united in marriage to Larry Tritten in Sedro-Woolley and they made their home all over the world as Larry was a career flight examiner with the U.S. Air Force. After Larry’s retirement in 1975 they returned to Skagit County, first living in Sedro-Woolley until 1980 when they moved to Clear Lake where together they made their home for 25 years until Larry’s death in July of 2005.
Loretta worked for many years at Pay Less Shoes in Bellingham and then as the cosmetics manager for Rite Aid in Sedro-Woolley for over 20 years. Her leisure time found her tending to her garden or working with her ceramics.
She is survived by her son, Ron Tritten and Dianne Kremer of Clear Lake. 3 grandchildren, Travis, Ryan and Ronni Lea Tritten. 2 sisters, Glenda Jones of Henrietta, OK and Cynthia Card and Christina Moore of Mount Vernon. 2 brothers, Glenn Card, Jr. and Marnie Dupruis of Kiowa, CO and George Lennox and his wife, Elma of Clear Lake. 4 nephews, 1 great-nephew and 2 great-nieces. Besides her parents and husband, Larry she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Roger Jones.
Memorials are suggested the American Lung or Heart Associations.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Clear Lake Cemetery with Pastor Robert Mulligan of the Prince of Peace Church officiating. Visitation is available at and services under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
