Margie Ellen Conard

Margie Ellen Conard

Wednesday, June 29th, 2016

Margie Ellen Conard, “Gammie”, was born April 27, 1940 in North Carolina to Grady & Eleanora Carpenter. She was married to T.C. Conard and has lived in Lyman, WA for over 50 years. Our beloved mother, Gammie, sister, and friend left this earth to be with her heavenly father.
Margie was very proud to be a longtime resident of the town of Lyman and took great pride in her home and town. She enjoyed tending to her garden, riding her bike around town, walking with friends, volunteering at the food bank, and attending Lyman Church. She had a passion for finding a great deal, without care if it was at a yard sale or a store.
Her family was her pride and joy; she spent her life loving her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, David; and nephew, Kenny.
Survived by her daughters, Jill and Kathy; her grandchildren, Amanda (Josh), Riley (Suzanne), Megan (Albert), Amy (Paul), Kaycie, Kody; sisters, Nina and Susie; niece Cindy; cousin, Jeannie; greatgrandchildren, Jaiden, Jorden, Claire, Jailynn, Jace, Madi, Grady, Jaxsen; and many life long friends.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00pm at Lyman Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that those wishing to contribute please donate to a charity of your choice in her name and bring your own fresh flowers to the memorial. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel.

Margie you will be greatly missed . The words are just hard to write at times like this. Your pain and fear are gone and now the Lord and angels are watching over you. Rest in peace dear Margie and we will see you again someday.

God blessed our neighborhood with you. You were always friendly and nice to us–myself and my husband and our little boy. You often came out to greet our little boy with your friendly and gracious heart–he really enjoyed that–thank you for being so kind to him. We will miss you and your beautiful flowers. Our little boy was sad to hear that he would not see you again on this earth, but he was happy to know that you are in Heaven talking with Jesus! He read the children’s book about Heaven called “Heaven is for Real” (for kids version & for little ones version) as witnessed by 3 year-old Colton Burpo, and he has been playing songs in your honor from the “Read You and Me–Heaven EP III” CD featuring Colton Burpo: “Heaven” (Jesus Really Really Loves You), and “When Everything Breaks” and “I Am Free.” We love you and will miss you very much! Our little boy wants you to know that both he and Jesus Really Really Loves you! God Bless you!

Dear Sweet, Sweet, Lovable Margie, we have known most of her life. Everyone loved and respected her. She was always the same with everyone, so Thoughtful, Kind, Quiet, Generous with her time. Always helping me to help Arretta when the family was not able to. She represented her Heavenly Father’s Love to everyone . She was A huge blessing in our lives as well as many others. She treated everyone the same . She is now sharing with Arretta , Joy and peace in the excitement of being in heavenly places together. She was a treasure to us and we appreciated her love.

There aren’t words to express how much Margie meant to me. She was always so kind and caring to our entire family. And the special thing is that she showed that same kindness to everyone she knew. I will miss my dearest friend so much. I loved her. I’m so thankful she was willing to be a part of my life.
May the Lord hold her family and friends close in His love and comfort, as we grieve our loss, yet rejoice that Margie is now safe and at peace with Jesus and is finished with her labors on this earth.

I love that picture of her, inquisitive look, I had only known her for maybe 10 -11 years, but always enjoyed her quiet calm, personality, and always loved seeing her at our lunches and gatherings with Joan, Jean, Sharon, etc..
We just had celebrated her birthday lunch at Olive Garden, (late) , but she sat by me and we shared desert, and laughed a lot.. glad of the good memories we have to share.

We will forever remember and miss her,

I knew Margie very well back in the 70’s and 80’s. She lived across the street from the Hooper’s. They were the Parents of Gail Parker, married to Ron Parker. They all attended the Lyman Baptist Church.
Margie will be missed by all that had met her and knew her gentle and shy nature.
