Marietta M. Reijm, 68, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 6, 2008.
She was born on March 22, 1940 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Milford & Mary McCabe Thompson. The family made their home in Idaho until moving briefly to Sedro-Woolley in 1953 before settling in Concrete in 1954 where Marietta attended high school.
She was united in marriage to Lester Eldridge in 1956 and they made their home and raised their sons in Sedro-Woolley. They separated in 1979 and that is when Marietta began a long career working as a central supply technician, first for United General Hospital and then Skagit Valley Hospital, working until her health forced her retirement in March of this year. On September 15, 2003 she married Adri Reijm in Las Vegas and they made their home in Sedro-Woolley until his death in July, 2006.
Over the years Marietta enjoyed traveling and camping.
She is survived by her four sons; Rick Eldridge, Ronnie Eldridge, Randy Eldridge and his wife, Kristin and Russell Eldridge and his wife, Bernetta. Two step-children, Connie Holboy and Anthony Reijm. Ten grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessie, Jacob, Nicki, Rachel, Zackery, Jessica, Kelsie, Maxine and Dale. 2 step-grandchildren, Wes and Abby and five great-grandchildren, Jesschelle, Jared, Samantha, Kira and Neveah. Two brothers, Tom Thompson and his wife, Linda and Terry Thompson. A special niece, Ruth Ann Totino, special friend, Stella Marsh and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Adri, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Stuart.

A Life Celebration will be held at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Leon Meyer of the Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington officiating. Inurnment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon. Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
