Marlene L. Arnold, 74, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday June 24, 2016.
Marlene was born on January 23, 1942 in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Marlin & Lucille (Fisher) Noble. She was raised in Burlington where she attended school with the class of 1960.
In 1971 Marlene was united in marriage to Dave Arnold and together they blended their families and made their home in Sedro-Woolley; where Marlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Marlene was busy within her community, volunteering many years of service with the Sedro-Woolley Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Dave at the family home; her children, Welene Simmons Ellis and husband Robert of Bonney Lake, WA, Debbra Simmons Ruffcorn and husband James of Prescott, WA, Cori Simmons Russell of Sedro-Woolley; John Simmons and wife Joy of Zillah, WA and Lena Arnold Rivers and husband Steve of Claremore, OK; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phil Noble and sister, Patricia Smith.
There will be no funeral services. In honor of Marlene memorials are suggested to the Sedro-Woolley Eagles Auxiliary. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
