Mary Nadine Thompson, age 86, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, WA. She was born September 26, 1919 in Buhl, Idaho, the daughter of Roy and Annie Alger McCabe.
Mary grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho area attending school and was married to Milford E. Thompson in Elko, NV on June 19, 1939 and they celebrated 61 years together. During WWII, they resided in California until after the war and returned to Idaho to farm until coming to Sedro-Woolley in 1954.
Mary worked at Northern State Hospital for many years until its closure. She enjoyed crafts, needle work, sewing, and loved making things for her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her faithfulness and devotion in caring for Milford during his illness prior to his passing.
She is survived by her daughter Marietta Reijm and her husband Adri of Sedro-Woolley and 2 sons, Tom Thompson and his wife Linda of Brenda, AZ and Terry Thompson of Sedro-Woolley. 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
2 sisters, June McCoy of Melba, ID and Nola Davidson of Locust Grove, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milford in 2001, and a daughter Margaret Stuart.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 2:00PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley, WA with Pastor Leon Meyer of the Calvary Baptist Church of Burlington officiating. Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice or a charity of your choice.
