Michel Graham, 58, a Stanwood area resident, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 2, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on July 29, 1949 at the NAS Whidbey Island naval hospital in Oak Harbor, Washington, the son of Gordon & Jeanne Ingertila Graham.
He was raised in the Mountlake Terrace area in south Snohomish County where he attended school, graduating from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1967. Immediately after high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country in Viet Nam for three years with the 1st Air Cavalry Division. Mike was awarded numerous accommodations, including the Bronze Star for Valor, the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. After his discharge in 1970 Mike was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Dee Iund in Mountlake Terrace on May 2nd. They made their home in the Mount Lake Terrace area until settling in Stanwood in 1980, and Mike worked as a fireman for the Seattle Fire Department. He retired in 1996 as a lieutenant after 26 years of service. In conjunction to being a fireman, Mike was also a general contractor building and remodeling homes.
In what spare time he had Mike enjoyed playing golf, camping and just hanging out with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dee at the family home in Stanwood. 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon & Renee Graham of Mill Creek, WA and Matthew & Heidi Graham of Washington, D.C. 3 grandchildren, Caleb, Jonah & Sophie Graham. His mother, Jeanne Krahn; a sister, Debbie Graham-Gilmore; a half-sister, Jeannie Krahn; a half-brother, Tim Krahn and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon; a sister, Pamela Graham-Whitaker and recently his father-in-law, Raymond Iund.

A service celebrating Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Camano Chapel on Camano Island. Interment with full Military Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in November. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

    Just found out about this on the internet. Mike and I and Dave Hughes hung out together in Mountlake Terrace when we were in grade school-Jr High….we were in Boy Scouts together. Lots of pranks and exploring together on our bikes…..then I moved away. Sorry he passed so young
