Mont Candler Hall, age 80, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 at his home in Lyman, WA with his family at his side. He was born April 19, 1927 in Greens Creek, North Carolina, the son of Felix and Lula Ashe Hall.
Mont has resided in Lyman since 1948, coming here from North Carolina. He was married to Doris Deitz on April 1, 1940 in Bellingham, WA, celebrating 57 years together. He worked for Lone Star Cement in Concrete for 21 years and later for Scott Paper driving logging truck for 15 years. Mont enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening and he will be remembered for his ability to raise beautiful tomatoes.
He is survived by his wife Doris of the family home in Lyman. His sons; Larry Hall and his wife Sherry of Toronto, Canada, Michael Hall and his wife Noreen of Sedro-Woolley, and Neil Hall and his wife Bonnie of Lyman. 7 grandchldren; Tina Hall, Russell Hall, Mike Hall, Bred Hall, Jerrid Hall, Stacey Moore, and Jodi Lavine and 13 great grandchildren. 3 sisters; Inez Hurst of Franklin, NC and Irene Bishop of and Vera Cope of Sylva, NC. A brother-in-law, Ray Bishop of Morganton, NC and 2 sisters-in-law, Fay Hall and Jeanette Hall of Sylva, NC. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers George and Wade Hall and a sister Mary Bishop..
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11:00AM at the Lyman Cemetery with Pastor Leon Meyer of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to Lyman Cemetery Fund.
Welp grampa, I know its been a long time, but you and grama are reunited. Today she was laid to rest beside you. We have missed you so much and the comfort is knowing you are together again. We Love You Grampa and We will see you and grama again.
