I never met Opal, my mother’s (Agnes Lien Johnson) cousin on the Herland side. I knew her through her letters at Christmas as my mother & Opal exchanged letters at Christmas. I know my mother loved her cousin Opal. May God be with her family. Barb, daughter of Agnes.

Ah Miss Opal, what a joy is was to have known you.
Opal was a tablemate of my moms (Bernice Valente) at Country Meadows. When my mom passed a year ago Feb. Opal was a source of strength for me. She was a caring and loving lady. I am so glad I went to visit her about a month ago. She will be very missed.

Vickie, Tessa, LaVonne and Opal’s entire family~

I only knew a few of Opal’s family members, but it is apparent that she was one special lady who passed on her kind personality and values to her family and everyone she met.

So sorry for your loss. Hang on to those wonderful, special memories to get you through the times you miss her most. She is free and living high now!
