Patricia A. ‘Patty’ Bailey Filipo, age 47, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006 at her home in Auburn, WA.
She was born March 10, 1959 in Tacoma, WA, the daughter of Lawrence and Darlene Ross Bailey.
Patricia grew up in the Tacoma area attending Lincoln and Fife High Schools and later La Conner High School in La Conner. She was a member of the Upper Skagit Tribe and worked as a care giver. Patricia enjoyed music, swimming, and watching football and basketball.
She is survived by her children, Johnathan Bailey of Seattle and Kathlyn Filipo and Tisi Filipo, both of Federal Way. Her mother, Darlene Bailey of Auburn. Her sister, Denise Hudson of Nisqually and two brothers, Roy and Lawrence Bailey both of Bellingham. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her Elders, Roberta Wilbur, Lois Fornsby, and Edith Clark of the Swinomish Tribe and Bernie Lewis of the Muckelshoot Tribe. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Bailey, her grandparents, William and Myrtle Bailey, her grandmother Blanche Reed, and grandfather, Napoleon Ross, Sr.
An Interfaith Prayer Service will be held Friday, October 13, 2006 at 6:00pm at the Swinomish Social Services Building in LaConner with a Interfaith Service to follow on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 10:00am with interment to follow in the Swinomish Cemetery. Arrangements and services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
