Patricia LouAnn Galbraith passed away peacefully March 23, 2018.
She was born to Dwight and Alice Williams on May 4, 1927. She was one of two children.
Patricia was raised in and around Everson, Washington graduating from Nooksack Valley High School in 1945.
She married Vernon Galbraith in 1946, the love of her life, for 69 years. They built a house in Acme, Washington, later welcoming two children. Busy as a full time mom, she was active in her Acme Presbyterian Church and PTA. Her family moved to Darrington in 1956 following the Galbraith Brothers logging company. Six months later they moved back to their house in Acme. Later in 1959 the family again moved to Darrington. Two more children were added to the family. Many summers were spent joyfully with her family at Lake Cavanaugh. Years later the family moved to Mount Vernon where they built their dream house in 1984. This same year Vernon, Patricia and eldest son Hugh, started a fast food restaurant specializing in broasted chicken. Patricia did all the ordering and product purchasing until it was sold in 1995. They then tore down the old cabin at Lake Cavanaugh, built a new house and lived there for several years before moving back to Mount Vernon.
Both Patricia and Vernon enjoyed traveling to countries in Europe, South America and Puerto Rico. More recently they traveled to Branson, Missouri.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Dwight, mother, Alice, and brother, Dwight, Jr. She is survived by her four children, Hugh (Chris), Dwight (Margaret), Brett (Jude), and Stephanie; eight grandchildren, Chad, Angela, Andrew, Elizabeth, Addison, Caden, Carrie, and Kaci, and five great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Riggs, Brody, Quinn and Jake.
A private graveside service was held at the Saxon Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Burlington. Share memories of Patricia and sign the online guest register.
